Bio

Sammy Kahsai's professional and coaching experience bring enormous wealth to our organization. Sammy is a 2018 graduate of University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) where he earned a Bachelor's of Science, Business Technology Administration. Sammy currently holds USSF D Coaching License.

 

Professional, Sammy competed in the USL with the Pittsburg Riverhounds SC, a powerhouse in second division in America Soccer. After a successful season with the Hounds where they were crowned the Easter Conference Champions, Sammy returned home and signed with the Maryland Bobcats, a tier three team in the National Independent Soccer Association based in Montgomery County. In between the seasons, Sammy had spells overseas in Ethiopia, MLS side; DC United and affiliate club, Loudoun County. 

 

Collegiate, Sammy was a standout in the Division 1 program at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, (UMBC). Sammy spent three seasons (2015-17) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) where he started every game during his junior & senior campaign while earning America East All-Conference First Team recognition.

​Prior to arriving at UMBC, Sammy played at Washington Adventist University during his freshman campaign. While with the Shock in 2014, Sammy led the team with 14 goals & 9 assist and Earned National Association of Independent Institutions’ Second Team honors for WAU as a freshman. Sammy placed tenth overall in the USCAA which Led WAU to the USCAA national quarterfinals, its best season since 1995.

Sammy’s goal is to create a positive environment where young athletes can reach their maximum potential. Sammy takes pride in instilling great values along with sportsmanship in players through the game of soccer.  His previous professional experience and expertise in dealing with young athletes will enhance every player ability and love for the game.
